This weekend I’m getting married. Quite a big deal really.
People keep asking me if I’m nervous. I’m not really nervous about getting married or what it means to our life together – we’ve been together for over 7 years, the way we live isn’t going to change. What I am nervous about is having to speak and dance in front of many onlooking eyes, but I’m sure I’ll manage with that.
It is a little frightening how much stuff there is to organise and get ready, and at this stage I’m still not convinced that everything is all in place, but hopefully it will all be fine on Saturday. Mrs Tom is a whizz at organising events and so I’m confident it will all go swimmingly.
Once it’s all out of the way we’ve got an amazing honeymoon booked, going to South East Asia touring Thailand, Laos, Bangkok and Cambodia, and I really can’t wait. We’ve not had a good holiday for a while and times have been stressful with organising everything (more for Mrs Tom if I’m honest) so it’ll be great to be able to relax away from home. Bad luck though local burglars, the new Mother-in-law will be babysitting our house for us.
It’s strange to think that it’s not even December, yet by the time we get back there will only be a few days to go until Christmas. And we’ve not even done any shopping yet, what to do!
Fingers crossed for the weekend then eh.
